Foodshare in Maidenhead is still carrying out it’s vital work with vulnerable people and families by converting itself to a delivery service to comply with safe working. They are in special need of:
Tinned meat
Cooking sauces
Long-life milk
Biscuits
Dog food
Deodorant
Toilet roll and
Hand sanitiser
but any contribution is welcome. So please remember them when shopping in a supermarket where there is a Foodshare deposit point.
Other points are on their website but may not be open at the moment. Or, if you want to contribute and cannot get to a point the Church Office will arrange a pick up no matter how small.
Thank you for your help.
Maidenhead Foodshare has won the Queen’s Award!
Here is what one of the directors of Maidenhead Foodshare has to say:
“It is a fantastic achievement. The Queens Award is the charity equivalent of an MBE. It is an award given to reflect the contribution from everyone connected with the charity – volunteers, donors, referrers. I think part of the reason the award was given was the depth of support from so many communities in and around Maidenhead. The churches of Cookham are right up there.”
Thank you all for your ongoing donations and support. Catie Sharples
