Temporary closure of Holy Trinity

Church premises to close temporarily 7th October 2024 – 29th March 2025

Holy Trinity Church will temporarily close from Monday, 7th October 2024, and will reopen on Sunday, 30th March 2025, as we undertake a significant project to install a modern heating system.

During this period, our 11.00 am Parish Eucharist will take place at Holy Trinity Primary School, located in School Lane, beginning Sunday, 13th October, and evening services will be held at St John the Baptist Church. We are immensely grateful to the school for generously allowing us to use their hall on Sundays.

Important Notes for Our Congregation

Parking: While there is limited parking at the school, we strongly encourage prioritising spaces for our disabled and elderly members. Please remember that we will still have access to the church car park. Worshipping Together: It may take us a few weeks to adjust to our new surroundings but rest assured that the familiar elements of our worship—our choir, congregation, and even coffee after the service will remain the same.

The only difference is that there will be no need for blankets during the winter months!

Help Needed

Preparing the church for the renovation work is a considerable task, and we would greatly appreciate any assistance. We will also need volunteers to help set up chairs and tidy up after the services at the school on Sunday mornings.

Service Adjustments

The 09.15 am Parish Eucharist at St John the Baptist Church, Cookham Dean, will continue as usual, including any evening services.
The 08.00 am Eucharist on Thursday mornings will be suspended while Holy Trinity is closed. However, we are introducing a new informal Coffee and Communion service at 10.00 am on Thursdays, which will provide a lovely opportunity to catch up over a cuppa. This will take place in the parish centre.

Additionally, all are welcome to attend the 10.00 am Eucharist on Wednesday mornings at St John the Baptist Church.

Holy Trinity is open daily from 9.00am to 5.00pm for visitors and private prayer.
