We are delighted to welcome you back to Holy Trinity Church for public worship in line with latest Government and Diocesan guidance and at first we will only offer the following services:
Sunday: 11:00 Eucharist
Thursday: 07:30 Eucharist
Worship in our church will feel quite different so long as restrictions continue, and your health and safety are paramount.
You will be directed to a pew, which in unlikely to be your “normal” pew and we have removed the pew cushions and kneelers as a precaution. You are welcome to bring your own cushion but please remember to take it home afterwards. We will be using alternate pews and only allowing two individuals in each pew, except for households. You will be asked to remain seated during most of the service.
The bell ringers will be able to ring the bells again on Sundays but because of social distancing they will not be able to use all of them.
We will have organ or piano music before and after Sunday services, and during Communion, but there will be no singing. This means that the service will be much shorter than usual.
You will be directed to go up to the altar step for Communion in single file up the main aisle, keeping 2 metres apart, as marked by chalk lines, and return to your pew via the south aisle. We recommend that you use your own hand sanitiser before receiving Communion.
We will have a retiring collection and you can make an offering in cash, by card reader or in Gift Aid envelopes on request. Please be assured that the churchwardens and I have conducted a rigorous Risk Assessment.
Please would you let Fr Nick Plant know each week if you are planning to come to a Sunday service so that we can try to accommodate as many of you as possible.
We would love to see you back in church but please consider carefully if you are in a vulnerable group.
The church will be open for private prayer on the following day:
